The earthquake epicenter is located by CIT Seismological Laboratory at approximately °N and °W. A moderate earthquake occurred 8 km northwest of Westmorland, California on Aptriggering U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) strong-motion accelerographs at 22 of the 29 stations located in the Imperial Valley region.
